2005 Mercury mariner - V6 4WD. Trying to replace the alternator, but have to figure out how to get to it - do I need to remove tie rod? Axle? What else? If so, how to I get it off? Tools?

Here are removal instructions, the rh axle will need to be removed, remove the axle nut, remove the lower control arm front bolt, swing the lower control and remove the axle from the hub, then remove the nuts on the support, then slide the axle out of the trans. Here are alt removal instructions, any more questions just ask, thanks Steve W
