Welcome to JustAnswer, my name is XXXXX XXXXX I'm here to help get your problem resolved. The airbag light should flash a code, what code is it flashing? Thanks
Customer: replied 4 years ago.
the code is 66
Expert:  Dan replied 4 years ago.
This would be a code 6 as there is no code 66, its just repeading code 6. Have you done anything to try and repair this yet? Thanks
Customer: replied 4 years ago.
no, i have not
Expert:  Dan replied 4 years ago.
Here are testing instructions for code 6 from manual. http://db.tt/c6tSn5uX This usually means clockspring has failed which is a winding of wire behind steering wheel. You can put a 2 ohm resistor in airbag connector to see if code clears if so replace airbag, if not do same thing on clockspring connector if it clears replace clockspring, if not probably is likely airbag module. Disconnect battery for 10 minutes to reset light or disable airbags before removing steering wheel. Let me know if you have any questions, thanks.
