These cars are known for lower ball joint problems, they start with the symptoms you are experiencing, creaking on turns or up and down movement of the suspension. The factory ones don't have grease fittings so you can't lubricate them. The replacement aftermarket ones do come with grease fittings so they can be lubricated.
Hi Brian,
thanks i am wondering if there is any way to tell for sure if it is in fact the ball joint?
are you still there Bud?
You can cut a slit in the boot in the lower ball joint and spray it with a penetrating lubricant and see if the noise changes or goes away, it may take a few sprays and bouncing up and down a few times to work the lubricant in.
ok thanks again Brian, so I can get on here and ask you more questions if that doesn't work? and if it is not the lower ball joint what else could cause this?
