Hi, James here. The dealer service department can access the keyless entry module with their diagnostic equipment to retrieve the code, usually for a fee. The code is also typed on a card on the owners wallet in the glove box, if you still have it. The module used to have the number on it as well, but Ford stopped doing that years ago.

i have seen on line the code was on the module under the dash on a2007 mariner, now your saying they no longer hide the code. whhat you told me i knew as the local dealer wants $100.00 to find it.

2008 was a new body style for the escape/mariner. Among the many changes was the deletion of a standalone keyless entry module. The software for keyless entry is now incorporated into the smart junction box (what we used to call the fuse box). For 2007 Escape/Mariner, yes, the code was on a sticker on the side of the keyless entry module. I'm sorry, this is probably not what you want to hear.
