Hello and welcome to Justanswer,

My name is XXXXX XXXXX I am here to assist you with your question.

In most cases the noise you are hearing is caused by a bad blend door acuator and or in some cases the blend door is broken. The acuator has a plastic gear that is know to strip out . To know which has failed , you will need to remove the acuator to check the door. The bad news is the instrument panel has to come out to change eaither or both. see enclosed instructions.
