You will need a special tool to remove the fuel lines. You can usually buy this tool cheap enough at any local parts store. Insert the tool onto the line as show in the image below. Then twist a couple of times to loosen any rust/debris in the line. Next push the tool into the line, and push the line in towards the filter, then out and off.
