Are you talking about the theft light that flashes in the dash?

Customer: replied 7 years ago.
Yes, When I put the key into the ignition it goes out after a couple of seconds, but when I turn the key to start it, it comes back on. The speedometer and Tack then recycle.

Sorry there is no way to disarm the system it is built into the computer. Sound like you either have a bad a key or transceiver.
Customer: replied 7 years ago.

I tried both keys and both trancievers, they unlock the car and seem to reset everything, but the PATS seems to still be active as the car won't start. Are you stating that only a dealer can reset it?

Expert:  Tim replied 7 years ago.
the transceiver is the piece around the ignition key and tumbler that reads the key.

Can a mechanic correct the problem?
Expert:  Tim replied 7 years ago.
yes if he has a scan tool that will enter security functions.
