heres the instructions straight from the ford repair manual.

  1. Disconnect the battery.
  2. Remove the front door trim panel.
  3. Postion the water shield aside

  1. Remove the pin-type retainer.
  1. Through the door opening, disconnect the power exterior rear view mirror electrical connector

Remove the 3 nuts and the exterior rear view mirror

To install, reverse the removal procedure

How is that front door trim panel removed?

Remove the exterior mirror cover.

Remove the interior door handle cup cover

Remove the interior door handle.

  1. Remove the screw.
  1. Remove the interior door handle and cup.

Lift the front of the window regulator switch plate from the front door trim panel and remove the window regulator switch plate.

  • Disconnect the electrical connectors.
  • Remove the front door trim panel screws.

  • Position the front door trim panel aside.
  • Disconnect the electrical connectors and remove the front door trim panel.

     

    1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
