JA: How many miles are on the car? Has this ever happened before?
Customer: 35k--no
JA: What is the model/year of your Mercedes?
Customer: 2004 cl55 amg
JA: Are you fixing your vehicle yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I tried opening with metal key, black push button is in trunk, metal key has not unlocked door or trunk
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

are you saying the metal key will not turn the lock ?

have you tried spraying wd 40 inside the lock a lot of times they are jammed cause they are rarely used ?

the key does turn the lock, but the door does not open, and the lock button on the interior of the car does not go up

the metal key should turn it ,get a wd40 bottle ans insert the small plastic tube that comes with it and insert it inside the lock where you inserted the key and spray put a towel under so you want hurt the paint

there is no other way unfortunately other then trying to lubricated and loosen the lock , sometime we soak them overnight .

the only other way will be call a lock smith

or get another ordered from dealer but if battery dead in car that want work ?

do you have 2 keys for it or one , have you tried the other one ?

have you checked battery in key fob?
