hello I have a 2000 e320, and the last time I drove it was on the 7 of oct. but last night I jumped in the alarm the lights the unlock an lock are working. but the steering is locked and the key wont turn?
JA: Can you turn the steering wheel at all? And what about the key? Is it worn or damaged?
Customer: its kinda worn, and no I cannot turn the steering
JA: Are you fixing your E320 yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: the most ive tried was un connecting the battery. its still un connected. and no I called a mechanic.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: that's it. I just tried to start her n the wheel is locked and wont let me turn the key

Hey how are you

1- is the key wore out

2- is the ignition switch feels loose

Have you tried A Master reset ,I know you disconnect battery but did you do it this way

Master reset Procedure

1- Disconnect Battery Cables ( Negative & Positive Cables )you can use any electrical wire as an extension if cables dont reach

2- Hold cables Together for 60 secs ,then let go

3- Wait 15 minutes

4- Make sure all doors are closed

5- Reconnect battery Cables

6- Lock & unlock the vehicles using the key from driver door side (if you have a key fob with no blade key, just lock & unlock using the key fob buttons)

7- Enter the vehicle and attempt to start
