ok so we need to verify that fuse 9 (40amp) fuse in the trunk is ok, that is the fuse that powers the hydraulic motor.

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
Update, fuse blown on rollbar, replaced it but still not working. Lights on rollbar switch blinking, light on softtop switchsteady on
Expert:  Lou P. master tech replied 9 months ago.

ok, so did the fuse blow after installing the new one or not? have you rechecked it?

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
40 amp fuse is fine. Bought new battery left trunk open so had to charge battery, did not take cables off, could that have caused the issue.
Customer: replied 9 months ago.
rechecked and new one fine
Expert:  Lou P. master tech replied 9 months ago.

yes, if the windows are not relearned then the roof will not attempt to work, same with the roll bar, you can reset the roll bar by raising it and keep the button pressed for another 10 seconds or so, hope fully the roll bar moves up.

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
Did that with windows they are fine rollbar will not move
Expert:  Lou P. master tech replied 9 months ago.

ok, good deal, then we need to check for power at the hydraulic unit when activating, we need to figure out what happened that a 40 amp fuse blew..

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
After i replaced rollbar fuse I did hear that humming noise for 40 seconds when I turned the key. Seems like it used to do that when things worked
Customer: replied 9 months ago.
Thought maybe charging battery might have blown fuse but guessing
Expert:  Lou P. master tech replied 9 months ago.

ok so the red wire with white strip goes from the fuse to the relay, then when the relay is activated the relay closes and allows power out of another red wire with white stripe to the hydraulic unit , we need to verify power is there and getting to the hydraulic unit. where did you get the new parts from.?

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
Tophydralics
Expert:  Lou P. master tech replied 9 months ago.

ok, so we have to not only verify that the fuse is good, which you did , but we need to verify that it has power as well, make sure that we did not in fact blow a fuse from the charger.

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
Ac or dc going to hydralic pump?
Expert:  Lou P. master tech replied 9 months ago.

always dc

Expert:  Lou P. master tech replied 9 months ago.

only sensors that detect motion will ever be ac. good question though :)

Customer: replied 9 months ago.

Expert:  Lou P. master tech replied 9 months ago.
