I just replaced my Crankshaft sensor, but I'm still having

I just replaced my Crankshaft sensor, but I'm still having problems. It will start and run but only if the wire going to the sensor is in a specific position. Any vibration/ movement in the wire causes the motor to stall. Is there a short in the wire or possibly something else
JA: Does the vehicle stall at low speeds? Does it sputter?
Customer: Sometimes
JA: What is the make/model/year of your car?
Customer: 2006 e55 amg mercedes
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I replaced my crankshaft position sensor
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?

This could be a problem with one or more of the wires going to the sensor or it could be the connector itself that plugs into the sensor, I would take a small pick and see if you can make the connector pins fit tighter and then see if it works better, also be looking for a bad spot in the wiring. You can try stabilizing the wire to locate a problem by tying the wire to something solid near where the wire runs. If all else fails you can try to find a wiring pigtail and splice that in to see if it fixes the problem.
