Just heard the alarm go off and tried to use the key but nothing is working anymore
JA: Have you tried locking and unlocking the driver's side door using the key itself?
Customer: Yes but that's it it won't recognize the key to start
JA: What is the model/year of your Mercedes?

Hello, how many keys do you have?

the most common issue is the steering column lock will not react to the key inserted so it will not unlock the steering column and will not power up the car. the only test we can do is to try a different key to make sure its not the key. after that it will need towed to a dealer. hope this helps.
