location of auxiliary battery

Expert:  Chad Farhat replied 4 months ago.

of course scanning the vehicle and retrieving fault codes will best here

to confirm the battery problem , any capable scanner should be able to communicate the battery module and see if it malfunctioning, it is a common occurrence especially at the vehicle mileage if it has not been replaced .

Hope I was helpfull to you ,Let me know if you need anything esle on it

Battery that you are referring to was replaced at 60k.
Expert:  Chad Farhat replied 4 months ago.

was it an oem battery?

Expert:  Chad Farhat replied 4 months ago.

Oh i'm sorry , i meant (oem(original equipment part) dealer brand

if the battery replaced at 60k and is good ,

kind leaves few things ,with out a scan we will be guessing

these are possible causes

1- Radio itself went bad

2- BCM module not sending the proper grounds

3- short in the connector on back of radio

4- the radio amplifier

Expert:  Chad Farhat replied 4 months ago.

you need a repair shop that has a STAR system scanner for mercedes vehicle only and it will be easy to figure out,

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
Could have done that without spending $31 for this process. Very disappointed with this service.
