I am considering purchasing an older E 350 wagon but want to determine some code faults and also trying to determine if the model year 2007 was a later engine not affected by some cam shaft issues and timing chain problems

I have noticed that your question was not getting a response and thought I would see if you still need help with this.I apologize for the delay and I hope I can still assist you with this here.If your question is referring to the model year 2007 then Mercedes has released a service bulletin dealing with the codes 0271 and 0276 which calls for replacing camshaft adjustment solenoids . I have enclosed the bulletin in the link below , these codes need to be addressed first as the can cause the misfire codes to set as well.
