I have a mbz e500 4matic, 2004. the right rear door is not

i have a mbz e500 4matic, 2004. the right rear door is not opening from the inside. it opens fine from the outside. there are no child locks on this car. all other doors and trunk work fine. all lock pins go up and down fine. the door panel was off recently and everything appears to be in good order. any ideas? thank you

Hello. When you grab the door handle can you feel any resistance or does he handle flip around and not stay tight against the door. ?

OK, that tells me that its possible the cable just came undone, i will get you instructions on how to remove the paneling so you can check the cable is that ok?

the door panel was removed and everything is in order. cable is attached.

the cable pulls but it will not release the door

oh ok , so then the issue will be with the door latch itself. its one piece assembly that will need to be replaced. most likely the internal plastic pieces are broken for the lever and gear assemblies.
