Are both front locks doing the same thing, or just the driver's side? This is a very common problem and almost always caused by a faulty lock actuator in the driver's side door. Once the lock actuator starts to become electrically faulty, it ratchets up and down really fast when you try and lock or unlock it. Let me know if its one or both.
