I clipped my sideview mirror while reversing out my garage.

Customer Question

i clipped my sideview mirror while reversing out my garage. the glass mirror fell off but it was no problem to put it back in. the mirror housing now will not sit flush against the car. i havent driven it since but i would imagine the wind resistance push the mirror back

Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!

Part of the mirror assembly is still flush against the body but the assembly is broken and that's why part of it has pulled away. You can try to use something such as two part epoxy in that area, push the outer part of the mirror back in place and hold it with some duct or masking tape until it dries. Other than epoxy or removing the mirror and trying to repair it with screws, the correct repair will be to replace the mirror assembly.
