Sorry for the delay. This is not a common issue. Does the car crank but not start when the issue occurs?

Also does the engine ever die? Why did you replace the crank sensor ?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Car will start when engine is cold, will run fine, shut off, then will not restart until motor cools down. Replaced crank shaft position sensor because this is a common issue around the 80,000 mi point with Mercedes.

Ok fair enough thanks for replying I appreciate the info. So did you ever get a check engine light ? And when it does not start does it crank at all ?
Also when this happens I need you to turn the key on and note everything in the car that does not work. Try every button and switch you can. How often does this occur ?
