Hi, welcome to Just Answer. My name is***** the key won't turn in the ignition either the key has gone bad or the electronic ignition switch has failed or your battery is to weak for the switch to accept the key. First make sure that the battery is good by connecting a jumper battery to your battery. I assume that you only have one key. If that is the case you will need to order a new key from the Mercedes dealer and give it a try. If you have no success you will need to replace the electronic ignition switch.
Let me know if you have any questions.
