Customer Question

I was driving and parked. All power was gone when I attempted to start again. The key would not turn, no horn, no lights. Just a sos beeping. Could the battery go totally dead without any warning?

Hi, welcome to Just Answer. My name is***** this does sound like a sudden battery failure. It is not unusual for a battery to fail this way. I would connect jumper cables to the jumper terminals under the hood and see if you get power to the vehicle. If you do I would say that the battery has failed and will need to be replaced. The output of the alternator should also be tested.

Let me know if you have any questions.
