Hi, I have attached the fuse identification chart for the GL450 below.
GL450 Fuse Identification
FUSE F72 FOR THE TRAILER HITCH SOCKET WAS NOT BLOWN. I KNOW THE LIGHTS ON
THIS TRAILER WORK FROM ANOTHER SUV. I JUST DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO LOOK FOR NEXT
It looks like 70, 71 and 72 are all possibilities. Did you check them all?
there is not a red receptacal to place a fuse in f72, but
f71 and 70 were not blown.
Any suggestions from here?
You should have power on those fuses and power between pin 4 and pin 8 in the trailer connector. I'd check that next. Other than that the lights are controlled by the rear signal acquisition module (SAM). If you have power to the connector I'd say you have a fault in the module or the wiring. Next step would be to scan the rear SAM for fault codes. Water has a way of getting to the SAM and damaging it.
Thanks, XXXXX XXXXX take to my repairman now for him to check this out. you have been a big help.
