I have a 1995 c280 with the SRS light on. The dealership said that the module is probably the problem but, it not that, then a problem with the seatbelts. They said $800 for a repair with a used part. Where can I find the part number so that I can search for another part and possibly replace it myself?

Hi, if you post your 17 digit VIN number I will look up the part number for you.

WDBHA28E9SF216858 Can you tell me where it is located and if it is terribly difficult to replace?
Ok, let me check the part number
The part number is XXX 820 19 26. Click here for one I found on eBay.
Thank you. How difficult is it to replace? I am fairly competent and a neighbor is very good.
It should not be too hard. I'll post some instructions.
The dealership said that if this was not the problem then the next thing would be the seat belts. The had cleared the code but it kept coming back on. Does this make sense and what are they saying about the seat belts. Instructions will be appreciated.
Replace Air Bag Module
It depends on what codes are coming up in the system. If there are codes for the module I would think that the module would fix it. I'm not sure why they mentioned the seat belts.
Ok. This has been very helpful. When I need help with my '51 XK120 I know where to go. :-)
