Mercedes-Benz C: Is it possible to get a used key and have

Resolved Question:

Is it possible to get a used key and have it programed for my car? The dealer said they could not do it. If so who could program it?
We may like to get chrome wheels. Our car has different size tires on front and back. They are 17. A Mercedes person said it's best to get Mercedes wheels that are different for back and front. Would it be ok to buy generic wheels that would be the same size from Pep Boys or wherever?

Hi, the dealer is correct in regards XX XXX key. You cannot get a used key and reprogram it.

eurotec :

In regards XX XXX wheels you can use all the same size if you'd like.

eurotec :

As long as you keep either the same setup that you have or go with all the same size tires you are fine.

eurotec :

Aftermarket wheels are fine.

eurotec :

As long as they are made for your car.

The car is 4 matic. The back tires may be 245 and front 225, all 17. So the wheels should be a different size made specifically for this car, or is it ok to buy 17" wheels that are generic?

eurotec :

It's ok to change to all the same size. Either keep it staggered like it is or just make them all the same. It doesn't matter.

Customer :

So with the different size tires I have, it's ok to buy any 17" wheels that are all the same size?

eurotec :

No you cannot do that, if you already have the tires you will need to stay with the staggered rims.

I could but 2 new tires that are the same size as the other 2 tires. With all the tires the
