I own a 1994 Mercedes S600 Coupe. The mirror control (located on the center panal) works to control the mirrors intermitently. When it works, all mirrors work. When it does not work, none of the mirrors work. The control moves the drivers side and passenger side mirrors, as well as the rear-view mirror inside the car.

Hi, it sounds like you are losing power to the MSC control module that controls the mirrors and the steering column. Have you checked to see if the steering column adjustment also fails when the mirrors fail?
What you will probably find is a bad K24 relay. The relay powers the fuse for the MSC control module. Most likely the relay intermittently fails to make contact. I have attached a picture of the relay location below. You will need to remove the phillips screws in the fuse box and remove the top frame in order to access the relay.

You are showing me a S600 sedan. Not the same thing as a 1994 S600 Coupe. The area above the fuses has a cable connect rather than the relay subpanal shown in your pic.
It's still the same. The part on top is the wiper relay. You need to move that aside and then remove the screws inside the fuse area and then remove the top frame to access the relays in the back of the fuse box.
I removed the relay and tested it with a 12V source. The contacts click into place. I further lightly filed the contacts to remove any pitting. I re-assembled the relay and reconnected the battery and tested the mirror switch. Nothing. What else could it be?
Well it could be a bad switch but the relay is more common. Does the steering column adjust? Do you have a test light or voltmeter?
I had the steering column set into place permanently due to a problem with a gear slippage, so I am unable to answer your question. What about the msc control module?
Ok, just check for power on fuse 30 with a test light or voltmeter when you turn the key on. If you have no power on fuse 30 you have a bad K24 relay. If you do have power then the MSC control module or the mirror switch is faulty or there is a poor harness connection somewhere. eurotec41084.9592079861
