My battery protection light saying convenience features unavailable been coming on since dec. of this year on my 2004 E320 Mercedes. I had it to the dealer numerous times after the car died on me over & over. They changed the 2 batteries, they changed the gateway , then after countless times i towed it out of there & to a new place. They changed all these wiring systems & i got it back about a month ago & it was great until last week . The srs light now appears, & the battery protection light is back on. It has not died on me but the audio is now in slow mode turns on with a delay, & i brought it back & no one can find its problem. ^ months later after numerous shops, i dont know what could be the problem. I am paying hand over fist since there is no warranty left. I have 1 yr to pay off the car. What should i do???

Hi.Welcome to Just Answer. It sounds like allot of components have been replaced trying to correct this fault. There two components that should be checked to see if they are at fault. The alternator and the battery control module. The voltage regulator in the alternator can fail intermittently and not charge the battery sufficiently and cause this as well as the battery control module. If all of this work has been done by a dealer or dealers then you can also contact Mercedes customer service and let them know of the problem and what has been done on the vehicle and they might be able to help with getting this repaired correctly and in some cases may help with the costs as well.I have had to replace faulty battery control modules and voltage regulators to correct this type of fault here before.Let me know if you need anything else. Thanks Pete.
