Hello. My name isXXXXX and I have a 1990 300E 4matic and am going to replace the cruise control computer under the driver's side underdash. Should I disconnect the battery before making the switch to the new computer part? Also, what is the best way to remove the interior center pillar trim piece so I can re-glue the vinal to the trip piece? Thanks.
Optional Information: Year: 1990 Make: Mercedes-Benz Model: 300E 4matic Engine: straight 6/3.0 Already Tried: Replaced all other cruise control parts except for the computer.
Thanks. The trim pannel I am asking about is the pannel between the driver's door and the rear drivers side door where the seatbelt has a loop it passes through to go over the driver's shoulder.
I am not sure which weather strip you are referring to. Is it made of rubber or cloth?
Also, will I need to disconnect one end of the seatbelt to get the pannel out of the car for re-gluing?
