No heat or air in my 1988 560 SL but the fan blows. Could this be a fuse problem?

Hi, I don't think this is going to be a fuse problem. Fuse 6 and fuse 7 are for the climate control. You can go ahead and remove and inspect those two fuses but I doubt that it will solve the problem. When a fuse blows your system defaults to heat mode. Since you don't even have heat it is more likely that you have a torn diaphragm in the heater control valve. On your air conditioning the first thing to do will be to evacuate and recharge the a/c system. Low refrigerant in the system is the most common problem but you could also have a a fault elsewhere in the system such as a bad a/c compressor.
