Mercedes ML 270: Where is the Mass Air Flow sensor on a Mercedes

Resolved Question:

Where is the Mass Air Flow sensor on a Mercedes ML 270 TDi ?

Michael Warfield :

Should just be an intake temp sensor, no mass air flow sensor. MAF sensors are for gas engines

Customer: replied 4 years ago.
I have read on the Mercedes web page that problems with the rpm on the 270 TDi are attributed to the MAF ( Mass AIr Flow ) Sensor. Rpm is limited to 2500 - 2900 rpm but when changed changes the performance dramatically !

This engine does have a maf sensor, It must be a japan/european thing. I found a picture of your engine. The Mass Airflow Sensor is to the left of the engine just in front of the air box. Here is the picture. graphic
