You should use only the Mercedes transmission fluid in the transmission.
The latest part number is XXXXX 989 68 03 10.
The common leak on that transmission is from the electrical harness connector.
The connector is replaceable.
The part number for the connector is 203 540 02 53.
The pan gasket is the other common leak. The part number for the gasket is 140 271 00 80.
The Mercedes dipstick tool is part number 140 589 15 21 00 and it retails for $41.

i get a jerky action when i first drive and not warmed up. could the low fluid cause this
It might, but poor engine performance can also cause that type of feel.
U mean may need new plugs etc. 95,000 miles
correct, I'd definitely have the fluid level checked but I'm just not confident that it will solve the jerking feeling.
