Diagnostics Engineer :

Hello,

Diagnostics Engineer :

The engines in question are V6 diesel engines?

Diagnostics Engineer :

It is also important to know in which models are the engines used, as the torque output is different from the same engine.

Customer:

These engines are used in 2010 and 2011 motor homes. Same models different years.

Customer:

154 hp -- 2010

Customer:

188hp -- 2011

Diagnostics Engineer :

154hp has 280 LB/FT Torque and 188hp- 295 ft·lbf

Customer:

Thank you that solved the puzzle.

Diagnostics Engineer :

Both are the same engines, difference is in the engine management.

Customer:

I assum you mean chip change

Diagnostics Engineer :

With the different software, you should be able to get 188 out of 155 engine. Of course, it can lead to warranty problems.

Diagnostics Engineer :

From the factory, the difference is more serious though

Diagnostics Engineer :

188 might have a different turbocharger.

Customer:

I do understand. I worked a similar problem with a CAT diesel

Diagnostics Engineer :

Ok, let me know if i can help you further.

Diagnostics Engineer :

Regards, Stan
