Hello, I can definitely understand your concern for your mother's well being given that she is experiencing these symptoms. Typically the auditory hallucinations of hearing music, also called Musical Ear Syndrome, is commonly associated with people that develop Tinnitus or hearing loss, so because your mother has been suffering from tinnitus the presence of musical hallucinations would be consistent.

Now the hearing voices is not usually associated with Musical Ear Syndrome or Tinnitus. Auditory hallucinations of hearing voices should be considered a mental health symptom and addressed accordingly. Does your mother have any other symptoms such as confusion, irritability, memory loss, and/or disorganized thought process? Also has she been recently taking any new medication since the onset of "hearing voices?"
