I can't find anyone who I could talk to, most pdocs here

Customer Question

I can't find anyone who I could talk to, most pdocs here aren't very good, only care about money & getting you on drugs asap (I'm in Saudi Arabia), I don't trust any of my family members or friends.
I feel trapped inside of my head, trying to figure everything on my own is pretty hard, what to do?

Hello, I am very sorry that you are having these issues with your Bipolar Disorder II symptoms and your difficulties in getting the appropriate treatment. You state that you will not take any psychotropic medications, even though you continue to relapse, so have you considered entering into only therapy with a psychologist or psychiatrist?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
The problem is that I can't find a good psychologist here, plus mental illness is considered a very "taboo" subject here so there are no support groups or anything of that kind.

Can I have an online therapy? don't think it'll be very effective though ..

Online therapy is definitely possible, but this website does not provide any online treatment. We only answer questions on this website. I can recommend a few websites that provide online therapy if that is something you would be interested in. Another option would be self-help treatment using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Here are some effective websites for that:

These are the best therapy modalities to help lessen Bipolar symptoms, but the mainstay treatment is still always going to be the use of psychotropic medications.
