Dr Vikas :

Hello,

Dr Vikas :

Yes, there is a relation between PTSD and trauma location in my view. Patient always try to avoid activities, place (location), or people that arouse recollection of the trauma.

Dr Vikas :

Customer:

Customer:

Customer:

Customer:

Customer:

WHEN I LEFT COUNTRIE

Customer:

MY IDENTITY IS GETTING BACK!!

Customer:

WITH FEELINGS

Dr Vikas :

OK, that is a good thing

Customer:

AM NOT SURE

Customer:

IS THERE

Customer:

A RELATION BETWWEN

Customer:

TRAUMA LOCATION

Customer:

AND THE HOLE THING

Customer:

BECAUSE IT WAS MY HOUSE

Customer:

I COULDNT CHANGE IT

Dr Vikas :

Yes, there is a relation.

Customer:

SO IFORCE MYSELF

Dr Vikas :

Patient always try to avoid activities, place (location), or people that arouse recollection of the trauma.

Customer:

REALY?

Dr Vikas :

exposure to the location can precipitate all those memories.

Customer:

is symptoms increase with the trauma place?

Customer:

now

Customer:

i feel

Customer:

that there are wating

Customer:

there

Customer:

still wating for me

Dr Vikas :

Patient may experience intense psychological distress at exposure to internal or external cues that symbolize or resemble an aspect of the traumatic event. Here you are talking of the exact location which can cause even more significant psychological distress.

Customer:

but if so

Customer:

why i still love that place!!

Customer:

my body should tell me

Customer:

that he hait it

Dr Vikas :

see these are two different things, we all love our home

Customer:

realy

Customer:

!!!!

Customer:

so there is relation

Customer:

between

Customer:

that

Customer:

trauama place

Dr Vikas :

but the memory of your home also is attached with that traumatic event

Dr Vikas :

which causes the psychological distress

Dr Vikas :

you can say now it is a love and hate relationship.

Customer:

love

Customer:

i love my house

Customer:

but i dont know

Customer:

because i feel improving

Customer:

away

Dr Vikas :

yes, Patients usually feel better if they are able to remain away from the traumatic locations.

Customer:

so

Customer:

because of that

Customer:

i couldnt get over it

Customer:

and had did

Customer:

but i cant understand

Customer:

how you love and hait the same place

Customer:

maybe love

Customer:

has no relation

Dr Vikas :

it is because of that unfortunate incident

Customer:

with trauma

Dr Vikas :

and PTSD

Dr Vikas :

You are suffering from

Customer:

but

Customer:

why no one said

Customer:

you must not face

Customer:

trauma place

Customer:

you must change the trauma

Customer:

place

Dr Vikas :

you like your home but the exact location and memories of that day causes intense psychological distress.

Customer:

maybe because i get dissoiated

Dr Vikas :

and your home is associated with those memories.

Dr Vikas :

patients suffering from PTSD try to avoid the stimuli associated with trauma.

Customer:

yes

Customer:

but how if they live in trauma

Customer:

in trauma

Customer:

location

Dr Vikas :

once your PTSD is under control, may be some day you will be able to visit your home without any problem.

Customer:

i see

Customer:

so

Customer:

why

Customer:

you dont say that

Customer:

why all drs

Customer:

dont say that

Customer:

that you must change trauma

Customer:

just saying

Customer:

cbt

Customer:

emdr

Customer:

etc

Customer:

no one say change trauma

Customer:

location

Customer:

so from 100%

Customer:

how much you sure that trauma has relation or effect on the person?

Customer:

i get did

Customer:

after ptsd

Dr Vikas :

I have to go now, is it possible to continue the chat later on

Customer:

ok thank you

Dr Vikas :

or do you want me to opt out so that other expert can answer your question.

Customer:

that just was my q

Customer:

ok i finished

Dr Vikas :

no, I have not finished yet and would like to discuss further.

Dr Vikas :

I have to go to attend an emergency.

Customer:

ok

Dr Vikas :

so can't answer right now

Dr Vikas :

will get back to you later on.

Dr Vikas :

Is it OK with you.

Customer:

yes

Customer:

tc

Dr Vikas :

Thanks

Dr Vikas :

you too take care

Dr Vikas :

bye

Dr Vikas :

You mentioned a point that no doctor told you to change trauma location and there is a reason for this.

Dr Vikas :

Exposure therapy is a first line treatment option for treating PTSD. Exposure therapy consist of imaginal / real exposure to the memory of trauma. For example in your case it would be something like imagining that you are again going to your home.

Dr Vikas :

If a patient continue to avoid activities, place (location), or people that arouse recollection of the trauma Ext posure therapy can't be tried.

Customer:

hi

Customer:

can we talk?

Dr Vikas :

I am available now, we can talk when you are online again.
