I'm on the phone...........it'll be just a minute
How are your doing? Hopefully feeling better.
doing ok, ty
Déjà vu is not that it is an act of prophecy, but a glitch in the memory.
It is far from rare and happens to two thirds of us.
so it's not a disorder of any kind?
No. Not at all. We think it happened before but have no recollections of the details (for there were none, of course).
what if I "remember" distinctly doing that thing or saying something?
This may may be caused by a crossing between the neurological systems of short-term memory and long-term memory, resulting in memories of recent events mistakenly perceived as being from a past time.
It it an anomaly. It happens to two out of three of us, and that includes me.
It can be unsettling but our brains are not perfect, none of us.
ok, I just thought it was weird that it happens so often for me
If you are getting memories of negative events that caused you PTSD, then that may explain the frequency, but that is not déjà vu, but flashbacks of real memories.
yeah, it's not flashbacks but senses that I've already done something or said something, even when I know I haven't
Just plain old DV.
Not to worry.
just wanted to check......
make sure there wasn't yet another thing wrong with me...........
That always helps to ease worry and anxiety.
