how long can i take ativan at 0.1g without bacame addictive. i only take it once a day.
Hello and thank you for consulting Just Answer,

That is such a small daily dosage. It is highly unlikely that it would become addictive. If you find yourself needing more, there would be a greater chance of addiction after only a few months.

Here is a good WebMD article...

Hope this helps....

Well doctor i am reading so much negative sruff bout benzos in the internet that i only take one .01 day when can no longer tolerate my anxiety. So it is OK to follow my doctor instructions of taking it 3 times a day?

Yes, as you can see from the article...post people who stick to prescribed dosages do not become addicted. Also since you are very concerned about this, it is unlikely that you will abuse this medication and become addicted.
The medication is to alleviate suffering....allow yourself this relief.

Warm regards,

Thank you for your answer. Eventually i would like to be able to look for a better alternative such a antidepresant. Would work better and if so. Can you recommend any one in particular? thanks You ahve been an Angell

Many of the SSRI anti-depressants have been approved for treatment of anxiety such as Paxil, Lexapro, Celexa. They all have withdrawal symptoms so you need to take them daily and wean off slowly.
