Hi, I have had Bi Polar for over 35 years now and my husband

Hi,
I have had Bi Polar for over 35 years now and my husband of 5 years is complaining that I am not getting the dishes done and the meals cooked.

I have been using our embroidery machine to embroider hand towels for a special function but do have trouble in the kitchen with my hands in the water. Is this common?

Hello- Thank you for asking the question. I have over 30 years of experience working with individuals, couples and families & am happy to reply.

Bill :

I am sorry to hear about the feelings you have been having and the stress your are experiencing in the relationship with your husband.

Bill :

The fact that you are also experiencing sensitivity in your hands while they are in the water (particularly if it is a cold sensation or tingly feeling) could have some association with the stress, Bipolar and thyroid related problems such as Raynauds Syndrome.

Bill :

This is only speculation and this could also be associate with other problems such as arthritis fibromyalgia, peripheral neuropathy and a host of other age related medical issues that could be effecting this.

Bill :

Persons with BiPolar Illness who are under stress can have an increased sensitivity to many physically related problem such as identified above.

Bill :

The best thing to do is to have this checked by your Doctor to rule out any other medical conditions that are presently unknown to you.
