Hello, this is Jean and I am available for a live chat
Hello! What you are describing sounds like symptoms similar to claustrophobia, fear and anxiety associated with closed in spaces.
Yah, thats what it feels like
but its weird to feel l that way about a state?
The open-ness living near or on the water and moving inland certainly can create this feeling.
Will it go away? :P
It's similar for people who live in land and they move to Hawaii they feel trapped on the island
You said you moved recently- how recent?
Well I moved here in October
but I've never lived in a central state before
WIth your history of ocd and anxiety I would think you would be sensitive to such a change.
Ya I think thats whats going on.
Anyway to help it?
I have a website I'd encourage you to take a look at I will paste it just a second
Having trouble with the copy past- it's www.changethatsrightnow.com
The site has good info. I will gather my other resources and share them with you. Common treatment for claustrophobia is cognitive therapy- taking a look at thoughts.
WIth your history of ocd and anxiety have you had specific treatment like therapy, cognitive therapy?
Im in therapy now
She said Im severly OCD
And need medication
And I cant get to the dr until next week
Im having health Anxiety too lol
Anxiety is treated pretty well with meds and therapy together
Yah I hope it works!
Thanks for you help tonight though!
I appreciate it!
It sounds like you are doing what we in mental health field would recommend
