Resolved Question:

ASK SUZANNE, I am very proud of myself for working out and trying to get into shape. I get to the gym twice a week at least and try to eat healthy. I'd really like to tone up my mid-section more. I could devote 15-30 minutes every day to toning up my core. Would you be able to research a good ab/core workout that I could do in 15-30 minutes a day? Something not involving a DVD because I don't know how to work our DVD machine. But maybe exercises listed on a piece of paper and steps to follow each exercise. I could do ab workouts at a medium or advanced level. thanks, Jen

Hi Jen,

I really like the workout plan in the book Body for Life. I did the program myself a few years back and got strong enough to lift a heavy kayak myself and put it on the roof of my car. He has most of his exercises on his website, and you can print them off to bring to the gym. Here's a link..go to "Trust Your Gut" for a list of core exercises.

Do you know "The Plank" exercise? Research has shown it works better than sit ups!

And any exercise done on the balance ball will strengthen your core as well.

These links should keep you busy at the gym for quite a while!
