Hello,

Online tests are not diagnostic and can't replace the psychiatric evaluation done by a psychiatrist.

They can only give a hint that if a person is getting high score there may be some possibility of him or her having a particular mental illness and he or she should consult a psychiatrist to rule out any such possibility.

I would suggest you to go through the link given below. After going through the link you will have a better understanding of the symptoms of Bipolar illness and this will definitely help you in making a decision.

What does it feel like?

If you think that your symptoms are matching as those mentioned in the website, you should consult a psychiatrist for proper diagnosis and management.

Best wishes,

Vikas

Thanks for your reply. Please accept my apology for the delay in answering.

If you are having symptoms suggestive of Bipolar disorder, all you need to do is to consult a Psychiatrist or your GP can refer you to a good psychiatrist near you who will start mood stabilizers such as Sodium Valproate, Lithium, aripiprazole or Quetiapine.

Without treatment, Bipolar episodes may become severe and may occur more frequently. But taking regular medicines can treat as well as prevent all future episodes and most patients are able to live a normal life.

Famous People with Bipolar Disorder
Medicines such as Lithium, Sodium Valproate, Lamotrigine etc are very effective in controlling mood swings and will also prevent future manic or depressive episodes.Your psychiatrist will ask you to take these medicines for at least a year.

As soon as you start the medicines you will start noticing improvement within 2-3 weeks just like most other patients.

Best wishes,

Vikas
