Hello and thank you for being such a good JA customer,

There are many websites which give long descriptions of Bipolar Disorder (and all the different types). But to "cut to the chase" Bipolar Disorder (also called Manic-Depression) can be suspected if a person has manic episodes and then falls into a deep depression.

A manic episode looks like this: does not need much sleep, talks fast (pressured speech), uses poor judgment (spends too much, indiscriminate sexual activity), becomes paranoid or delusional, and very energetic (gets a lot done in short period of time). After several weeks or months of this "high", they plunge into the deep depression.
