My spouse is in his late sixties, has high blood pressure and osteoarthritis. I am concerned because he drinks two or more glasses of wine and a beer every evening. He thinks it is OK. I think he is abusing alcohol or may be alcoholic. No one can have a completely coherent conversation with him most weekday evenings after ten. What should I do?

Dr. Ed Wilfong :

That's more than a couple glasses of wine or beer. What do you see as options? You can decide what you can do, but can't make him stop.
