Hello Doctor My wife has Bipolar Sindrome since she was 28

Resolved Question:

Hello Doctor:
My wife has Bipolar Sindrome since she was 28 years old. At the moment she is taking 40 mg of Zeldox at night including Unakalm 15 mg when necessary. Do Bipolar patients have a shorter longetivity? At the moment this is all.

What do you mean by longevity
Customer: replied 5 years ago.
By longevity we mean lifespan in relation to a person who does not have mental illness. My wife has been diagnosed with Bipolar type II.
Expert:  psychlady replied 5 years ago.
Yes. It doesn't matter whether it is I or II. The long term of this relationship is the same

But, is there a decrease of lifespan for Bipolar patients (and how much), in relation to the other population and if so how can this be conpensated?

Customer: replied 5 years ago.

Is the lifespan of a Bipolar patient reduced in relation to a healthy person?

Expert:  psychlady replied 5 years ago.
I don't believe so
