When you say his mother has had similar problems for years, do yo mean that shee too exhibits uncontrollable anger?

Hello and Welcome to JustAnswer. Your question is not closed until you are satisfied. I am happy to assist you with your question.

Since Norman has opted out, I will give this a try. This child needs to be evaluated to rule out bipolar disorder. Bipolar is sometimes misdiagnosed as ADHD, but ADHD and bipolar disorder can also occur together. Please take your son to a child psychiatrist and get a thorough work up. These rages could well be a symptom of bipolar disorder.

Please let me know if you have further questions about this.
