i have been taking Fluoxetine (Prozac) 20mg for 9 day now and

Resolved Question:

i have been taking Fluoxetine (Prozac) 20mg for 9 day now and I'm experiencing some side effects; sleep difficulties, nausea, Paresthesia, and extreme anxiety... should i stop taking the Prozac? should i go to the Hospital? I am at a loss of what i should do.

Prozac can take 14 days to settle into the body, so you should start seeing the negative side-effects decrease (everything you list is a common negative side-effect of this medication).

If the negative effects are staying the same or starting to slowly decrease, then i's safe to stay on the medication until you see the psychiatrist.

If they are increasing, then you need to talk to the psychologist on the 3rd to see if they think you are ok to stop the medication until you see the psychiatrist on the 24th. They may also recommend you try taking only half the prescribed dose until you see the psychiatrist to see if that decreases the negative side effects.
