You can go to your local community mental health center or any university hospital with an outpatient psychiatric department. At these facilities they use a sliding scale fee system. This is based upon income and expenses and thus ability to pay. I have seen fees ranging as low as $15-$25 per session or psychiatric appointment. If your income is low enough you may be eligible for state sponsored medicaid. In my state the cut off for an individual is about $7800 per year for a single individual. est wishes.
