A divided doses regime is as good as it can maintain the blood levels and can be done instead of the single dose.

I am currently on 2 mg of clonazepam once daily, and would actually like to have the dose increased to 4 mg twice daily. Alternatively, the current 2 mg could be divided in 2 doses (1 mg in the morning and 1 mg in the night). Would that do the same, you think? What would you recommend? Are the blood levels stable with a once daily dosing?

Hello,

It is better to take it in two divided doses than the single dose as with divided doses blood levels are more stable. These are the usual recommendations. The 1 mg twice a day dose is good enough usually.

It is pleasure and privilege assisting you.

I hope this was helpful to you.
