Is it illegal for a person with a mental illness diagnosis

This answer was rated:

Is it illegal for a person with a mental illness diagnosis (who functions normally (is compliant with medications) to become a doctor? This person has not been judged incompetent.

To my knowledge it is not illegal for anyone who carries a mental health diagnosis who functions normally and is compliant with medications to become a doctor. Of course, they must answer truthfully on any medical questions as part of the licensing process as well as with the malpractice application.

I hope this answers your question.
