Customer Question

I have a 2006 Ford F650 VIN 3FRWX65B66V228817. I put a new king pin into the axle by hand and there is slack. Is this normal?

Hi I'm Wayne

I will help you with this

did you have to ream the bushings

or where they press fit ??

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
There is no bushing in the axle. When you slide the king pin into the axle by itself, you can grab it and wobble it. Is it supposed to be that way?
Customer: replied 4 months ago.
The only bushings that came in the king pin kit are for the spindle.
Expert:  Wayne replied 4 months ago.

Thank you for that

Sorry, that is what I was speaking of the spindle

if they are tight in spindle, but loose in axle

you need to send that out and get reamed and bushed

NO< play in axle

I hope this helped you

Is there a kit that comes with a drill bit and bushing that can ream it out where it is without pulling it and sending it in?
Expert:  Wayne replied 4 months ago.

Morning

Sorry to say, need to drop the axle

and have it machined, bushings are pressed in with a 50 Ton Press

bring your new kink pin so they will fit it
