Under the floor board, where the brake pedal goes through. There are four bolts that need to be removed, to slip the floor board out, to get to the brake reservoir.

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
we did that but we don't see the reservoir.

Ca have remote reservoir, look for tube coming from above, going to the master cylinder. On many Hysters there would be a cap on the dash, but looking at pictures of the 100 I see no cap.

we traced the brake lines but came up empty handed. Do you have a picture?

Line would be a plastic line going into the master cylinder housing. I assume you found master cylinder? Where is operators manual that is supposed to be on the forklift? This may be forklift that uses transmission fluid and has no reservoir!

ok we did find a dipstick near the brake pedal but we thought that was hydraulic fluid. How can we be sure?
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 8 months ago.

No reservoir or plastic fittings on master, will make it transmission fluid fed. Have you lost brakes? Or tried to bleed brakes? Likely has disc brakes and have no bleeder.

No we are not mechanics.

Ok, so do you have brakes?

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
no

No pedal, or a hard pedal? This is warehouse lift with solid tires. Did brakes suddenly quit?
